Not a lot of truly awesome tracks on this but plenty of very good ones make for a consistent album from Z-Ro. The beats are quite minimalistic and raw for a bit of the album which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they work well with Ro's vocals. Recommended, especially if you're a fan of Z-Ro, as I am, or enjoyed his last album as it has a similar vibe to it. Best Tracks: No More Pain, One Deep, City Streets, M16, Remember Me & Man Cry

"So you heard a lot of talk about the new release from Z-Ro. You thought it was going to be titled Heroin. You thought it was coming out in November. You thought Cocaine was a bootleg. Let the truth be told: The new Z-Ro release from Rap-A-Lot is COCAINE and its available NOW!!!" I didn't get around to hearing the two-disc mixtape by the same name, so everything on this album was a first time listen for me and it's another good Z-Ro album. While Crack had some great tracks I didn't feel it was as consistent as some of his previous albums that came before that, I think though that this album returns to the consistency we're used to. If you have heard any other Z-Ro album, this follows pretty much the same path as them. Tracks about haterz, hood life, Z-Ro not trusting friends and so on, and as far as the beats go it's that dark simple southern hip hop we all know from Ro. There are also some odd sample choices that isn't new from Z-Ro such as Air Supply's 'Sweet Dreams' on 'Type of Nigga I Am' and 'Ring My Bell' on 'Bring My Mail'. Overall, there isn't a lot new from Z-Ro but almost everything from the bottom to the top works well and Z-Ro never lets you down on the m.i.c. Best Tracks: One Two, Don't Worry Bout Mine, Type of Nigga I Am, Quarterback Vizion, Doing Just Fine, Haterz Got Me Wrong, Thank You, But, Bring My Mail

If you have not heard the 'Cocaine' mixtape which apparently came from Z-Ro's current label issues, then you will get more out of this than if you have, as there are quite a number of recycled songs off that. I think there are also some old lines/chorus' used on some songs, hence this feels more like a compilation in a way than a brand new album from Z-Ro. It's still not a bad listen if you're a fan of the man and is everything you expect from Z-Ro apart from a few more real classic tracks. Best Tracks: Never Let It Go, Denzel Washington (Remix), Blast Myself, We Don't Speed

Mr. Consistency has done it again. The Mo City Don has created another worthwhile southern release continuing his drug titled themed albums. Lyrically there isn't much new regarding the topics, but Ro is enjoyable whether spitting or singing (which he does a fair bit of), most of the beats are interesting enough, and the hooks will have you singing along fairly quickly. Well worth checking out if you're a fan of Ro-bot. Best Tracks: Real or Fake, Ro & Bun, Never Had Love, H-Town Kinda, 3 Way Relationship, When We Ride

Listening to this album for the first time I had the feeling that Z-Ro may not have been completely involved in the production of the album. My first hint was that he hasn't promoted it at all through his Twitter account, the second is the rehashed lyrics and songs that had been on his mixtapes, the third is that it doesn't sound as polished as most of Z-Ro's albums-It feels a bit like 'Heroin' does, which also came after some label issues-, and then Ro confirmed my suspicions on his Twitter page - "Appreciate the love on Angel Dust from everybody. I honestly don't kno what's on it tho. All I kno is that's my last rap a lot album." In saying this, Z-Ro fans will still enjoy this album, as it is pretty much what we come to expect from Tha King of Tha Ghetto minus a few more brilliant tunes. Best Tracks: These Days, Truth Is, Love It, Phuq With Me, Time, Today
